help us make a script... (person detailed script idea)
You have a good start. You know what kind of characters you want, the location and the situation. Next, you need the plot. What is the story about and who is the story about? What is the problem/conflict? What will be the climax (high point)? What will happen in the end? Then, do descriptions of each character. Who they are? What are they like? And what will the tone of the play be? Serious or comedy? Hope this helps any of you who are thinking about writing your own script. Thanks, Doug 2006-08-20 01:32:54 GMT

I am representing a group called "The Felley Players", based in Nottingham, England, and we are performing your script "Nobody Famous" tomorrow night. The group are genuinely looking forward to it, and we chose this play out of a shortlist of 6, for several reasons. 1. Because of the length, we thought it would be a good springboard for our more inexperienced members, 2. We knew we'd have fun with the set and costumes, 3. On the first reading, it made us laugh! 4. The group agreed that it was really creative, and very suitable for a family performance. Once the performance is over, then we will post our comments again to you, with some photos. We'd just like to say that we think the service you provide is wonderful, making your vision of theatre accessible to all, and we're glad that we have joined your international community! --Rebecca Morris <mailto:felleyplayers@yahoo.co.uk>

This is Jennifer in Canada, I just finished our Children's Theatre Production of Songs of the Pioneers. Because we had many children in the class and all girls, we added to the script five cousins, we made Uncle Joe stay home to look after the farm, and made another Auntie calling her Josie. It worked for us and the children loved it. We added dancing to all the songs except Early One Morning. The parents thoroughly enjoyed it and our take at the door went directly to the senior citizens centre where we performed out play.

I teach English and history to Speakers of Other Languages at Northeast High in Philly. My actors consisted of Russians/Ukranians/Georgians, Albanians, Pakistanis, Indians and Colombians. The kids did a super job of performing the play Teen Angel. We had two performances: a dress rehearsal in the evening for the parents of the kids and one performance for the ESOL department of the school (approximately 300 kids and invited guests). The performance was so well received that someone asked me if we could perform at other schools in the district. Of course we said yes.

Hi, I teach English in Brazil therefore all my students are brazilians. First of all thanks for sharing with us The Beauty is a beast. It was such a great experience for my students to stage, for the first time, a "real" play. As the result of what we recently introduced and called Drama Club we had two performances for two different audiences. The first one was basicly comprised of students relatives, teachers and friends and the second one, translated and addapted to Portuguese was performed in front of almost 300 children from local institutions, such as: House of the child with cancer, The Children with cancer Hospital, an institution that shelters and treats burnt children and three orphanages. It was an indescribable feeling. Of course both were free. So, thanks for giving us the possibility of experiencing their joy. You're doing a great job.
